The Risugami Mods Update is here and with that there’s a new version of ModLoader 1.5/1.4.7 available. So if you’ve been having trouble installing mods after updating to Minecraft 1.5/1.4.7. For those of you who are still in the dark about ModLoader 1.5/1.4.7 Mod– it’s a piece of software required for nearly all of the Minecraft mods available. DO NOT SKIP THIS! Modding alters minecraft.jar and may cause SMP not to work with this mod installed. Mods can add new content and it is a bad idea to load old worlds that you played in before you installed this mod. We are not responsible for any accidental damage to your Minecraft copy or computer.
ModLoader 1.5/1.4.7 Mod Installation for Minecraft 1.5/1.4.7
Windows
- Open %appdata% folder by go to Start Menu -> Run and type in %appdata%
- Go to .minecraft/bin
- Open minecraft.jar with WinRAR or 7Zip
- Drag and drop your files into the opened minecraft.jar
- Delete META-INF folder
- That’s all you have to do
Mac
1. Press Control+Spacebar to open spotlight and type in “Terminal”
- Open Terminal.app
- Type in following commands line-by-line (after each line press enter)
- cd ~
- mkdir mctmp
- cd mctmp
- jar xf ~/Library/Application\ Support/minecraft/bin/minecraft.jar
2. Back to Finder, Do Not close your Terminal and you will find mctmp folder located in your root directory
3. Drag all the files into mctmp folder
4. Back to Terminal app and type in again the following commands
- rm META-INF/MOJANG_C.*
- jar uf ~/Library/Application\ Support/minecraft/bin/minecraft.jar ./
- cd ..
- rm -rf mctmp

its because mod loader if conflicting with zans mini map.
Zans minimap is good mod but not working after 3 or 5 time use

you have to DELETE META INF!
you need to delete meta inf file inside your minecraft.jar
Check your mods folder. If you have anything in there, modloader will probably be trying to execute it.

i install modloader and it works fine.if i install forge,MC crashes when i try to break something in SSP.and if i install modloader MP it crashes minecraft when i’m creating a new world or trying to play in an0 old one.and i need all of ‘em.i want buildcraft,and it need forge and modloader

Maybe the reason you other people are having problems is because you have too many mods already installed?
Won’t work just freezes and crashes, i have no mods…I tested it and it seems when i just delete the meta file it freezes too any ideas????? please
i had NO mods installed but modloader and forge but it got stuck on the updating screen (which does start when ever you press login but goes very quickly so you don’t notice it) and no matter what i do it still gets stuck any suggestions?

how do you make the small blocks i dont know how, it loaded fine tho
you put a dirt block into the center slot of a workbench and then you get this grayish thing in the output slot. you take that and place it on the space you want to put miniblocks, and then it cuts up the block surface for the miniblocks. after that just place normal blocks on the cut up surface and they’ll appear mini
I follow the installer steps, it is supposed to be a mods folder to appear in the minecraft.jar file. but it doesnt appear to me, any tips to how i can get that file ?
I figured why it didnt work with you people. Its because of the old “mods” folder in .minecraft. Try removing it and also remove Modloader.txt . Then launch Minecraft. Everything should be fine.

Yup still i get a black screen when launching MC. I followed all the instructions.. deleted my old mods and the Modlaoder txt.
Maybe you have a bad copy of Minecraft.
Try it on a different computer, mods and Modloader.txt.
It happened on my friend’s laptop and we tried it on mine and she just had a bad download.
Redownload Minecraft on a different computer, delete the minecraft on yours and transfer the other minecraft from the other computer.
when i installed it i noticed it said a class file was missing: basemodmp.class it happens every time!

I accidently forgot to delete META-inf folder while installing.. I found it after I installed and My minecraft’s screen after clicking login is just black… everything else on my laptop is fine.. does this mean i cant play my minecraft anymore? I also redownloaded minecraft again and still black screen.. HELP!!
for ps, click on the “start” button at the bottom left corner of the screen and type “%appdata%” and press enter. then double click .minecraft then delete “bin” then run minecraft again and it will redownload “bin” (doesnt delete any worlds, texture packs or screenshots)

I am trying to use Too Many Items version 1.2 alongside with Mod-loader & Minecraft Forge, and they appear to mess each other up… It works fine without Minecraft Forge or Too Many Items… Maybe someone can make an update to Mod-loader for this to not happen…
i cant install mod loader. i drag all the files delete meta inf and i run the game, but then i start minecraft and appears the mojang but then it freezes and suddenly it crashes
all you have to do to fix minecraft is delete it go to the website and go to in browser then download it. do not press login when opened just press options and force update and then it should be fine
but first you HAVE TO DELETE MNECRAFT BEFORE DOING THE INSTRUCTIONS.

u dont delete modloader, u have to force update minecraft. and plus i am having the same problem and its the mod thats doing it.

i pasted the modloader files into minecraft.jar, and deleted META-INF. Minecraft opens without any trouble but theres no indication that i have modloader installed. I thought it was nothing, and tried to install Wedge WorldGen Editor 1.2.3 (http://www.minecraftmine.org/wedge-worldgen-editor-mod/) which requires ModLoader, but after copying its files into minecraft.jar nothing appears either. its like i never changed the minecraft.jar file at all. Whats happening? Ive tried reinstalling and other solutions several times but all i get is regular minecraft.

this website knows about macs. All you have to do is go to your minecraft.jar folder, delete the meta inf and drag the classes in.

The most likely reason it is not working is that you did not install META-INF or you have and old mods folder

ModLoader only works when u have recently downloaded minecraft, i have updated minecraft 43 times and only worked when i uinstall it and reinstall

Do I extract all of the stuff from the .zip folder, open up minecraft.jar THEN put all of the extracted stuff into minecraft.jar or do I put the .zip folder into it? I’ve tried putting the extracted stuff into it up it won’t work!!

If u use 7zip use msi or if u do, use exe. Left click the mod file and select 7zip. Then select open archive. Open the normal 7zip archive and go into appdata. Then select .minecraft and open bin. Then u must select minecraft.jar. An archive will load and then u left click the mouse and drag over the mod items. Then drag them into the minecraft.jar archive. Thats the windows instructions.

I’ve tried over and over to install ModLoader, and every time is crashes Minecraft. There’s no black screen but an error report appears, this happens every time I try to install it! I make sure to delete META-INF, I’ve updated Minecraft so i know i’m 1.3.1, and I don’t have any other mods installed, but no matter what I try this error report always appears. Can anyone tell me what’s wrong?

i can now have modloader for 1.3.1
It’s not working because Modloader hasn’t been updated to Minecraft 1.3.2
Download modloader and mcpatcher. send mod loader to a zip and open mcpatcher. click mods, then add, and find the modloader.zip and click open. click on the modloader folder that comes up then select ok. after that use click patch and after it has loaded test minecraft. load all your other mods like this and they will work. do not open minecraft.jar with winrar and delete meta-inf. mcpatcher does it for you. this works with windows and mac

this doesn’t work! i tried over 537 times and the pc randomly downloads this crappy program that has NOTHING in common with what i want.
okay things:
1. delete meta-inf before installing ANY mods
2.install modloader,audiomod,modloderMP or anything that u require (after this i would test minecraft)
3.install any mods BUT i would look in comments to make sure that its NOT the creator thats purpisly making it not work (this has happend to me)
