Version 3.92 adds a brand new tree type with very special growing conditions and enhanced automation possibilities, while adds a 4X4 crafting grid to the Anvil along with various tweaks and bug fixes, 3.72b adds the ability to synthesize redstone and for villagers to toss the milk, and 3.62 updates the mod to version 1.5.1 of Minecraft!. Better Than Wolves 1.5.1 Mod Instructions
Better Than Wolves 1.5.1 Mod is organized into distinct “Ages” that represent different stages of Steve’s technological progress. Each Age in turn may be organized into separate Tiers that represent separate tasks that the player must achieve in order to progress to the next.
The following instructions are organized chronologically in terms of what the player must accomplish in order to progress forward in the mod. If you are just starting out with Better Than Wolves 1.5.1 Mod, then it is recommend you commence at the top of the instructions and work your way downwards. This mod is rather complex, and it is my hope that organizing these instructions in this fashion will make it all easier to digest for a new player.

- Updated to version 1.5.1 of Minecraft. WARNING: This was a hellish update and it wouldn’t surprise me if it introduced bugs. Please make sure to backup your savegames before installing.
- Fixed problem with the Lens using the Slats texture when it projected a beam onto a solid surface.
- Fixed vanilla map-conversion crash-bug that would result from slabs at height level 128 on old maps.
- Removed many of the tweaks the mod made to wolf behavior due to the rewrite of Minecraft’s AI system. These will be readded to the mod (if necessary) in the future once the dust settles on the AI code.

- Download and Install Modloader into your minecraft.jar folder
- Download Better Than Wolves 1.5.1 Mod for Minecraft 1.5.1

it crashes when i play after a minute
This is to anyone who had problems. the only folder you touch in the file is MINECRAFT-JAR. you drag the class filesm into you r minecraft.jar and then it should work. P.S. if the mod maker is reading this blog or whatever, please update this mod to 1.2.4. Thank you and I hope this helped.
I did what is says in the instructions but it doesn’t work. my mineraft still works but btw isn’t working.
use mc patcher to install your mods its not just to fix textures and yes also to fix mods so press the “+” on the bottom select the mod then check it (it will automaticaly check dont worry) then it will inform if another mod is interfering with the other
when I played it with btw installed, all of the textures were messed up, and when i tried to dump cement, it crashed… Help?

So I download the mod, and modloader. Attempted installing with and without the forge client, all for minecraft 1.2.3, it loads up to select your world, but will never fully load. after about a minute it flickers for a second on the login page then goes black…? I’ve already lost all my hemp fields in the update, but i’d really like to just play better than wolves again…it’s not the same without it. Any ideas?

Whether you use mc patcher or not you still need modloader, all mc patcher does is add the files into the minecraft.jar for you.
I really want to use this mod, just got my comp working again and just found my mc login, please make the mod available so we can download it.

Cuddos for the 1.2.4 it doesn’t crash the game, which worked better for me than the 1.2.3 version. But the 1.2.4 still doesn’t work

THIS IS A GREAT MOD IVE BEEN TRYING TO INSTALL OTHER MODS THAT DO KINDA THE same thing before this but none are a match for “BETTER THAN WOLVES”

This is my favorite mod for minecraft. The only problem is you always have the stinking file set to private. Its been this way every time I’ve ever tried to get it from here. Even on older versions. If it’s mediafires fault than you need to ditch that site and find a service that works.
I’m sick of having to search for other links to download it because of this problem.

Its because the mod is basically incompatible with about everything so if you have a mod on make sure its ONLY better than wolves. if you dont have any other mod on then your “screwed i dont know how to fix that”
